My blogging career started on Livejournal, oh so many moons ago. I no longer use Livejournal, but I have archived all of my entries and occasionally check them out. This post was from a few years ago.

I was at my German speaking group and I was talking to a vegan about Sarah Kramer, a vegan chef, blogger, and cookbook author whom I really like. I brought up one of her books on my Android tablet and was showing it to him.

Me: “Her cookbooks are really good.”
Vegan guy: “Do you own any of her books?”
Me: “Yes. There’s a lot of pictures of herself in these books. She’s pretty and she knows it.”
Vegan guy: “She’s not pretty.”
Me: “What do you mean she’s not pretty??”
Vegan guy: “She has all of those tattoos. Therefore she’s not pretty.”
Me: “…”
Me: “…”
Me: “…”

Yeah, as an old punk and crazy clubber, myself and this guy are on completely different wavelengths. Except on the not eating meat thing.
