Reviews of my latest novel What the Hell Ever Happened to Yuri Rozhenko?<\/a><\/p>\n

– “This book is so good I bought copies to give to friends!”<\/strong><\/p>\n

– “These characters and situations could be real and are relatable to anybody who has ever had to struggle through the daily grind.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

– “Pure punk aesthetic. Reminiscent of the Beats, minus the misogyny.” <\/strong><\/p>\n

– “The author writes from the heart, and it takes me back to my youth with a smile.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

And then…<\/p>\n

“I was never really able to understand punks. It never made sense to me to be so wrapped up in the intense dogma surrounding what amounts to a cultural contrivance. In other words, being a ‘punk’ in itself was a conscious choice, not something one was born into. The sense of marginalization that came along with that choice was direct consequence of that decision.”<\/p>\n

Whelp! Can’t win ’em all I guess. (Though it’s not actually a criticism of the book but rather a diatribe about punk culture in general.) <\/p>\n
